Adapted from one of my early comic strips, this one-minute Procreate animation marked my first attempt at bringing sequential art into the realm of film. In a simple, stylized aesthetic, the film follows a drunken bar attendant who gets into a petty argument with a customer over another drink, only to learn it’s not night, but 3pm the next day. Subtle background animations and old French accordion music give the piece a whimsical charm. In 3pm, I set out to create an animation that invites multiple viewings through layered visual details and a distinct sense of atmosphere that brings the story to life.
