Created for my NYU Animation Class final project, Punk is a fully colored and inked 1.5-minute animation produced in Toon Boom Harmony and edited in Adobe After Effects, among other programs. This marks my first professional-level animation using industry-standard tools, including Toon Boom Harmony and Adobe After Effects. A gas mask-wearing punk’s aimless wander through Brooklyn turns into a slapstick rooftop chase after a mysterious figure taunts him from above. The pursuit ends in an ungraceful faceplant, only for another punk to spot the figure and fall into the same trap, hinting at a never-ending loop of mischief. As my first professional-level animation, Punk incorporates a higher framerate with more fluid motion, industry-standard tools, and advanced techniques learned under the mentorship of my professor; marking a step forward in both technical execution and visual detail compared to my earlier works.
